Thanksgiving and Black Friday

This week USA is celebrating Thanksgiving on Thursday (tonight) with a big feast with turkey mainly and other products. I’ve been reading and olives are mentioned in the menu and hopefully salads are dressed with Spanish extra virgin olive oil as it’s getting imported in high numbers.

My family cooks turkey for dinner at new year’s eve, it’s a special recipe from chef Candido: pavo a la catalane with plenty of dried fruits and sausages, gravy and wine. It requires a long preparation and sits in the oven for 4 hours. The biggest turkey we had was 12 kilos and we were 30 people having dinner together at a friend’s home enjoying the night. I remember I helped my mother for 2 days shopping with her all the ingredients, preparing them overnight and cooking. It was a huge task!

You may have noticed as well the marketing campaigns around Black Friday. I’m offering Picual from Oli Migjorn at a special price £7.95 per bottle.

Take this opportunity to enjoy this peppery oil full of flavour and aromas and cook your dinners with it.

Besides I’ve added a new range of milk cream cheeses from Merina sheeps in Extremadura, one of them with rosemary.

For the tea lovers I have got now olive tea leaves bags, it’s another option to enjoy the benefits of the powerful antioxidants attributes of the olive tree.

It’s not common to find in UK this tea bags so I encourage you to buy and taste them.
